Who We Are

Pagdandi Films is a London-based production company dedicated to telling honest, human-centred stories. Whether we are creating documentaries, brand films, corporate content, or commercial campaigns.

A Pagdandi (पगडंडी) is a trail shaped gradually by people walking through fields, forests, and open ground a quieter, unconventional way, away from the well-trodden road.

That idea lies at the heart of what we do.

We believe that every individual, community, and organisation has a unique perspective worth sharing. The most meaningful stories often emerge not from the spotlight, but from the moments, experiences, and values that shape who we are.

For us, filmmaking is both a responsibility and a privilege. It gives us access to people's lives, ideas, ambitions, and vulnerabilities, and we approach that trust with curiosity, empathy, and respect. We see the filmmaker as a bridge between those who have something to share and those who are truly willing to listen.

Naveen “Macro” Kumar

Naveen “Macro” Kumar is a neurodiverse documentary filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller driven by curiosity about people and everyday life. Previously working as a photo and video journalist in India, he focused on stories from marginalised communities often overlooked by mainstream media.

When he’s not filming, he enjoys exploring London on his bike with a camera nearby. His dream is to build a mobile production van and travel, making intimate short documentaries about people he meets on the road. Naveen believes every person has a story worth telling, and that meaningful films can also be quiet, simple, and deeply human.

Panchsheel Gaikwad

Panchsheel Gaikwad is a documentary filmmaker and editor. His work explores memory, family, community, and political inheritance, often through quiet, personal stories that sit close to home.

Alongside filmmaking, he works across editing, commissioned video, cultural programming, and projects connected to visual culture, balancing independent work with close collaboration. Whatever the project, he is drawn to films that are intimate and accessible: the kind that invite people in, spark conversation, and leave space for reflection rather than closing things down.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Panchsheel in a bookstore, museum, or gallery, jotting lines into his commonplace book, or settling in for another rewatch of Doctor Who.

Hardik Gaurav

Hardik Gaurav is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker with over a decade of experience capturing weddings, corporate events, and meaningful human stories. His storytelling style blends artistry with authenticity, resulting in photographs and films that feel both personal and enduring.

When he’s not behind the camera, Hardik enjoys live music, especially jazz and funk, and rarely misses an opportunity to show some moves on the dancefloor
